Thanks for the info M.T.T. We here at ImmInst should help promote this program. Can we bring somebody in from MF to talk about this research challenge on the Sunday Evening Update? I published it as a facebook status update, but given the date I don't know how many people will believe me.

I'm too are very excited about this new development. I'm going to donate an amount of money to the New Organ Prize and also encourage and write e-mails to organizations in my home country asking them to donate to and support the New Organ Prize. I also know some people that are transplanted and I'm going to ask them to donate too. I know a woman at age 25 which need her second heart transplant because of severe immune rejection.

We seek, support and reward science that extends healthy lifespan. And we believe a permanent solution to organ failure can be found. That's why we are announcing two initiatives:

* NewOrgan Prize: Prizes result in amazing leaps forward in science; we challenge scientists to construct and successfully transplant a whole new organ made from a patient's own cells by 2020.
* NewOrgan Network: A social community, powered by our partner My Bridge 4 Life, where those in need of replacement organs can reach out to friends and family for personal support.

Hi - Our main press release will go out on Monday or Tuesday, but we wanted our friends and family to know first. So, MF have worked toward producing critical mass by announcing:

Founding investment in worlds first commercially available 3d tissue printer company
Investment and partnership with worlds most sophisticated kidney pair matching software system - leading to an effort to make a deep and profoundly useful NewOrgan Registry
NewOrgan MediSocial Network
and now the
NewOrgan Prize

We do indeed hope that those needing these solutions will join the NewOrgan Network and begin to build an unstoppable force for progress, advancements and just plain human good.

Regards,
Dave

Hunh.. the donation form just goes to the regular MPrize form.

Is there a way to mark it "I'd rather it go here/ I'd rather it go there" that I'm missing?

I too would like to see donations to the NewOrgan Prize be marked in another way. I would like to see a cylindrical metre or something that gives the info about year/amount of prize money donated.

MethuselahMouse - Dave Gobel, would you like to give us an answer on this?
