So I been looking for a tablet or smartphone lately, mainly because of the comfort of multi touch and portability..

Decided I should go for a laptop because I have to be able to program out of the house. Now I found there are multi touch screen laptops! And here is one for gamers like me (I program games too):

Just wow! I want this.. only unfortunate thing is that it has a keyboard and isn't a tablet.. if only you could have it as a tablet and connect a usb/bluetooth keyboard if you wanted only... would be so awesome!

Actually after seeing I can get a 17 inch and better graphics card at same price I am thinking of this one:

Only difference is no multi touch which is ok, it isn't a tablet after all.

I wonder if I can find one with full HD and a bit better battery life though.

If you can wait for about 3 years and got some serious $$ () you could go for a microsoft surface table. The new ones will be no thicker than a sheet of glass. Kind of makes the star trek tng panels look old.

The linked 17" weights roughly twice of a common 15" laptop. If you plan to carry it arround alot i would suggest to go for the smaller weight, might make the difference between a laptop that travels daily with you and a laptop that mostly stays at home.

Regarding to full hd with 15" - check it out in a store if you can, i heard that 15" makes it no fun because the fontsize will be often hard to read and not every programm allows you to adjust it.

Yep, apparently I need to keep looking :/ And I can't check in store, I have to order from USA to my cousin and she will come to Israel soon and bring it for me. In Israel we have older models for double price.

I thought I have found the perfect laptop, until I took it to Italy and a sudden surge of power fried its innards.
Moral: always use a power surge protector.

Ok! I bought one:

Now that the USD is weak it's really good deal (In Israel graphical laptops start at about 4500-5000 NIS, this one is about 5200 NIS and is 10 times better than offered here)

Which one, the multi touch screen one? I decided to give it up, just a gimmick for now, gotta wait until tablets mature :)
