premature ejaculation, serotonin gene defe...

while on sertraline, I figured that I might have always suffered from a mild form of premature ejaculation and found out that it is primarily thought to be caused by low serotonin levels and recent studies seem to confirm that this might be a genetic disorder. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7657092.stm
That being said, i also suffer from depression/anxiety, but have this department pretty good under control since quiting alcohol, working out and starting a nutrition low in carbs and lots of brocolli, nuts, lean meat and so on, so I am reluctant to go back on SSRI to fix this.
I saw that escitalopram is available in liquid form, so I am wondering if a low dose of only 1mg could do the trick. I don't know though if and how much the doseage makes a difference with SSRI - don't really want to go through all the side effects that come with it again.
any advice would be welcome.
