Long story short scientists don't have a full understanding of nutrition but if you want good health you should eat natural foods.
Vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, etc.

Thanks for the link!
Terry Wahls is a genius and her ideas are evidence based.
She's inspired me to improve my diet further. It looks like I'll be eating organ meat and mushrooms. In both cases BLECH@!!!! But if those are healthy... I guess I better learn to like them.
I eat a red and green apple every day. I might replace one of them with berries.
I'm not quite sure how to get seaweed into my diet. I guess it's time to do some googling.

Don't forget she's really emphasizing eating loads and loads of leafy greens -- nine cups a day is it?
Regarding seaweed, be careful to look at the specs because several of these seaweeds have startlingly high levels of iodine, and you probably don't want too much. I like laver (nori) -- Porphyra umbilicalus -- which has lower amounts: http://www.seaveg.co...=index&cPath=23

Almost important is what the diet DOESN'T contain.
I agree and first on the list is surplus calories.
Low calorie is the way to go.

Currently I eat 2 heaping piles of raw vegetables per day because I'm on a low calorie diet. I use vegetables to keep myself full. Glad to know they might be useful for some other purpose.

Thanks for the seaweed link!

Does anyone have any further data on her claims rather than her (admittedly impressive) own anecdotal case?

I haven't had the time to watch the video yet but basically she's advocating a CRON diet with limited meat, processed food,diary... and a lot of vegetables, isn't she? That's pretty much the gold standard in terms of ''healthy'' diet, unless you're undertaking a ketogenic diet for a specific reason or have access to grass fed animals to eat.

Not sure if its CR really - it's sensible for sure but her claims that it cured her MS are extraordinary

At about the 22:00 mark in the second video, she discusses her study participants.
