Diphenhydramine and other anticholinergics

NinefingerJoe's Photo NinefingerJoe 27 Feb 2015

Hi all.

I occasionally take diphenhydramine (generic benadryl) for insomnia. I know it is technically an antihistamine but also an anticholinergic; what effects (if any) could this potentially have on 'racetam use and/or choline supplementation?
And what about ACE inhibitors like huperazine A?

I'm interested in this too. I'd like to know if taking lecithin or any other substance could offset anticholinergic effects. I take benadryl and other medications that, according to a new study, could drastically increase risk of dementia.

Would bacopa or ashwagandha help? I just ordered aniracetam. How do racetams fit into the picture here?

STAY AWAY from these anticholinergic meds!

I was on chlormepharine melate (likely spelled wrong)...  Took typically 1 dose at night for at least 15 years.

My memory is completely shot.  My motivation, not far behind.  Suffering from ED as well, I THINK from grey matter reduction.

I'm taking all sorts of things to try to recover, see earlier posts of mine.  The issue with my memory is far too substantial IMHO to have been caused by something like dopamine dysfunction (caused by porn, food, gaming)
