Do you currently take any medications/supplements of any kind?

I recently read my SAD and ADD could be because of Zinc deficiancy or Magnesium deficiancy. Is this true? How much does it cost to get my blood tested for these deficiancies? Just to let you know how serious my SAD is, I am 23 and Ive never even had a girlfreind. Im a fairly attractive guy but I cant stand being around people or touching people. Please help me guys. You guys have lots of great wisdom that I could use. What should I do?????
LOL

Yeah, no one should have to live with that crap - you probably get really nervous when your doorbell rings too, don’t you? Anyways, see a psychiatrist - he/she might give you Zoloft - it will take time for it to start working (~2-3 weeks for me), and your SAD should drop in intensity (not cured) permanently (it did for me). As for getting a girlfriend, you should probably try it in that one minute of clarity…ha…but in that state, you’ll definitely succeed - you just have to worry about it when it fades away…heh heh. Warning: I experienced intense sleep disorders and personality shifts, that is, I received a certain mentality several times where I almost started fights when random people were to give me a slightly mean look - I didn’t have a care in the world if I were to end up killing them (I had no sense of morality at all, and I believe this to be a serial killers normal mindset).
Cheer up - the moment that you accept that this is who you are, you will start to feel a lot better - trust me. No medicine is goanna do that - it’s all up to you. The moment that you accept the fact that you were dealt a shitty hand in life (like me), that’s when you can start working for a better one, my friend.

PHOTON: what you describe is not A MENTAL PROBLEM but the effects of thew shit you were taking, (aggresivness, piss off for no reason, ) I seen most of what you claim on amphtamine users (crystal smokers)

also see a psychologist(one who is nutritionally minded...someone who knows about the effects of vitamins, sleep diet, etc on your mental state... not one thats gonna throw you on an SSRI after the 1st visit)... what you are describing sounds like a psychological problem, which are not always based in physical disfunctions.

you can get THIS multi vitamin HERE for less than 20 bucks/2months supply (60 tablets, iron free). i take it... great company/quality/product/price. multi is extremely important before working on any problems to completely remove the posibility of a nutritional deficiancy.
sleep is important too, 7-8 hours min per night. turn off or dim the lights 2 hours before bedtime + a glass of warmed milk(to ensure tryptophan supply & melatonin production). meditation before bed will increase the depth of your sleep, and reading before bed will also help you fall and stay asleep. no caffeine (including green tea) after 5pm(asuming ur going to bed at 11-12).
keep your diet clean. no fried foods, no refined carbs(white sugar, white flour, white rice), lots of veggies, lots of fruits, nothing with more chemicals than recognisable ingredients.
20-40 minutes cardio(run, job, bike, swim, martial arts, anything that get the heart pumping) a few nights a week will have a nice effect on sleep, mood, and focus.

I have also been taking fish oil(1000 mg, 400 epa, 200 dha) for over a year and the results from that on my mood, anxiety, and memory have been pretty worth while.

I have been taking rhodiola(250 mg, 3% rosavins, 1% salidrodise) once a day when i wake up for about 2 months and i have been pretty happy with the results. I am a junior in an engineering major and often get very stressed out and extremely irritable. It has improved my sense of well being, but specifically it has numbed the intense irritability i often feel throughout the day and i have noticed it reduces the crippling affects of emotional stress. I also take take 100mg of l-theanine with it and the two work well to produce a relaxed state that has had a noticable improvement on my irritablity, anxiety and attention span.

Wow, if the Rhodiola works that well then Im gonna get some pretty soon. Ive heard great things about it. I recently started using Fish oil as well and I can already notice a change in my mood and concentration. Its amazing how much a dietary supplement can help your mood. Fish oil makes me feel like Im on a constant high. Not a drugged high but a relaxed sense of well being kind of high. I love it. Ohhhhh and btw, did the Rhodiola give you more energy and endurance? Some people have claimed this and I would love to have that happen cause I need more endurance.
