Looking younger than real age

This is very interesting, they interview people who look younger than their real age.. Just look at the pictures, do you agree that they really look younger?

Dorothy Williams, at 75, is ok too.
The rest are pretenders!

Argh, I'm 24. Yesterday I got 29 and then 30 from two people that I asked. It's funny because I'm using a sunscreen, a retinoid and peeling every now and then.
What about lifestyle otherwise?
I don't think these people look that young except for the lady who is 41. The others are hard to judge...

I thought that artist who was 51 looked pretty young. The photo is from a strange angle though and really doesn't tell you much about her physically.
My lifestyle is pretty good. I avoid stress, exercise regularly (with a cardio focus), I eat a very healthy diet, however, I probably consume too many carbs (though an insignificant amount compared to the average person).

I think being skinny, but a healthy skinny takes a few years off you. Skin care is not enough, what you put into your body and how much is just as important. Plus I totally avoid the sun! In my own personal observation 'young short skinny' tend to look much younger.

Sorry to say, but almost all of them look their age. I can't 'explain' exactly why I think this, there just seems to be some subtle differences which just glare out at you but you can't describe them. No not wrinkles... but maybe just a combination of factors. Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never had anyone around me, in work, college, friends of friends ever guess my age correctly. Like my latest pic uploaded the other day which is on my profile or my BLOG which you can find a link to on my profile too. I look fairly young for 24years 1month old. It's freaky... I seem to get younger every year!

I agree, most look their age. Aside from darker facial hair, I don't look any older this year compared to a year ago. I went into a casino when I was 20, the lady at the desk asked me how long I had been driving. Everytime I go into a bar (not often), the bar tenders are shocked and check my ID carefully to figure out how I could make a fake ID look so real :-).

That is so true.
It is not so much skin care that makes you look young. Its your overall 'shape' and 'size' that really gives away your age.

Unfortunately those are not miracle drugs. I guess you are well aware of those facts and not dismissing them just because of two people. Maybe you would look worse without your skincare regimen? Ihope you are using the retinoid regularly and the peelings every now and then, not both.Argh, I'm 24. Yesterday I got 29 and then 30 from two people that I asked. I think that outside of lifestyle factors, how young you look depends largely on genetics. There are two anecdotal experiences that lead me to believe this may be true (or at least merit further investigation):Argh, I'm 24. Yesterday I got 29 and then 30 from two people that I asked. It's funny because I'm using a sunscreen, a retinoid and peeling every now and then.
-The receptionist at my company, Jen, is very young looking for her age (29). In her late teens and early 20s, she used to model professionally in Tokyo and Milan before she was forced to quit because of an eating disorder. She admittedly lives a very unhealthy lifestyle (smoking, binge drinking, sometimes cocaine, eating very little) and I know she doesn't exaggerate because she is thin as a rail and I regularly see her smoke and drink excessively at company parties. Anyways, she still looks as young / beautiful as she did in her modeling days... I think most people in her situation would look very haggard but genetics seems to be on her side.
-I've always looked young. At 24, I am regularly guessed as looking 18 and even 16! My mom's whole family looks very young in that they usually don't wrinkle much at all and keep a smooth complexion. My dad's family, on the other hand, usually show their age quite soon. I take after my mom and my sister takes after my dad in appearance. Even though I am older than my sister by two years, people will often guess her as being the oldest - sometimes older than my chronological age. Maybe appearance is inherited from our parents like a x-linked dominant genetic trait?
Also, how much of perceived age is how an individual person dresses and carries themself? Someone with a young style of dress / hair and youthful demeanor might get viewed as being younger. I know that when I was looking for jobs, I would go out of my way to make myself look older to avoid age discrimmination.

Quite true. I've got a friend who's same age as me (29) who's skinny and also naturally not got much facial hair, and he looks - and even dresses - like a teen.
Whereas I look my age, am fairly muscular and have a goatee. I look like Fred Durst in something too casual. That said maybe I'm growing into my 'visual age' as people always had thought me 29 at 24 but spot on before that. And it doesn't help that I'm getting white hairs here and there amongst all the black. I think having olive skin will help me somewhat through my later years though!

By the way, I think a lower BMI or CR would make some people look older, including perhaps me. A lower BMI might correlate to a loss of fat in your face at some point in the aging process (in the late 20s - 40s, it's different for everyone), causing an older look. I guess that might be one reason why people get all sorts of injections into their face (botox and other fillers).

Just found this one: http://www.agile-new...d-old-lady.html
She is 43 but looks like early 20's
The English translation is interesting:
'US-Witch' is a recent epidemic of a new Japanese term, refers to the age of 35 years old, but people do not see the actual age of the beautiful MILF. Living in Nagoya, Japan Masako Mizutani recent bursts of a 'US-Witch' .
Yeah, I guess that's accurate...

id guess 23 to 25 just because hes underweight this won t make him look younger and thats untrue about skinny making people look younger,
i know bodybuilders who do steriods and look way younger then there ages when someone goes over 30 and is skinny the most times look way older due to crows feet etc no fat on there face
steriods that seem to stop the aging seem to be deca any one who seems to use this stuff just does not seem to age much at all also seem to keep there hairline .
deca makes around 400 percent more collagen in the skin and joints this could be part of the reason guys i know who use dont age and look great the guy from saved by the bell reall name mario lopez looks far younger then his age google him why because since age 17 hes been on deca along with some outher riods d bol seems to be good but can cause hair loss so anti aging deca is king
mario age 16 then mario age 39 wow he looks almost as young
also ll coolj is another man who does not look his age look at his skin what makes ll coolj looks old is his hair is gone due to using the wrong steriods but when he has a cap on hed pass for a lot younger again coolj loves deca
llcoolj is 44 look ar his skin notice anything yes has that same great skin mario has and is a tell tale sign of deca use i think mario looks younger now then when he was in his 20s

I'd agree on an anecdotical level on the "deca" and other collagen promoting steroids, when it comes to skin elasticity. Guys I know who've been on them for a few decades (and relied less on heavy androgens) - all have pretty damn great skin. Wrinkles may be apparent (usualy from an excessive sun damage. most of them loved/still love sun), but there's somewhat of a "firmness" and tightness look in their skin.
One of my friends, a long time bb'er, 47yo, lots of sun damage, but skin is still damn great, really really good. And he has been "on" for years and years (started GH recently, which imho improved his skin even more).. It's all anecdotical, but stuff like this isn't really tested in labs currently so we can at least speculate.
