I spoke with my doctor last year about sometimes having brown urine. Got no response, he was dismissive. Now I'm sure its blood and its getting to be more and more. I have had prostate symptoms so it may be related. I'm going to try to find a new doctor this coming week. Any thoughts? I may even suffer from blood loss at the rate its going.

I agree with your instincts. Obviously you should get this checked out ASAP. I'm sure even a walk-in clinic can order the necessary tests and get the ball rolling.

I recollect a similar event in my case due to a mildly enlarged prostate. Once treated this has never got back. Also keep well hydrated which is important for your kidneys and makes urine clear. I kept a log on my case in LC here. Agree tests are important, have you got results and/or updates?

I finally found a good doctor, it turned out to be bladder cancer which they removed. Now I will have to deal with chemo and maybe radiation. They said it was a very aggressive type of cancer but that it had not penetrated the muscle wall or metastacized which is good. I've heard it usually comes back if its a bad type so I want to hit it right away. I'm still passing blood but not as much, still have a lot of discomfort. I will be seeing a specialist in a couple weeks for a second opinion on treatment. On the bright side it may be possible to save the bladder and they gave me plenty of pain pills which I'm trying to stretch out. They make you feel good but I know thats a trap. Only as needed.

Completely different type of cancer,  yet,  one of my relatives had blood in the colon and it was cancerous polyp which was ablated just before metastasis (estimated starting probably after 3-6 moths from the colonoscopy). Almost 30 years after she is living and doing extremely well ! :-)
