Toxic Toothpaste Ingredients
Wed Aug 26, 2015 6:13 am
I don't agree with this guy's ideas on what to use instead of normal toothpaste, because over time baking soda and salt will be too abrasive. A friend used to get pharmaceutical grade chalk powder from a pharmacy. People used to use it to make their own dental powders. That seems to be less available now. I've been using pure Peelu powder which I order from Swansons. It seems like a good choice, especially combined with a children's Xylitol toothpaste I got from the health food store. This particular toothpaste doesn't seem to have anything bad in it. I also have gotten pure Xylitol packets from Swansons.com, mixed them with water and used that as a mouthwash. Xylitol prevents tooth decay and makes your teeth smoother. Don't swallow it; it's artificial sweetener.

The site that hosts this blog, Longecity.org, is a great place to look into alternative toothpastes. Lots of lively discussions with intelligent people.
Below you can find their forum on dental health. Doing a Google search of Longecity.org + your subject of choice may be the best way to find relevant postings.
