The service in church was focused on life after death. I can understand that it gives people comfort. I believe the same, but somehow it makes me feel angry too.
In this world he is gone.
I saw him change from a man full with life into a man who had lost himself and helpless.
Another example of somebody who died from aging and aging related diseases..
That is why I think there should be more research for this problem then there is now. I hate it to see when people age and getting fragile. And I too am getting old and fragile. That isn't a pretty thought. I don't like the dying part either. :-S
Most people I know, sees aging as normal thing in a persons life. The same is with death. They think it is strange that I don't want to accept aging and death as normal. it is hard to discuss with them why i am seeing it this way.
That is why i write this here. I know most of you will understand what I am feeling...
I hope that I can see in my lifetime that aging and aging related diseases can be cured. That will end a lot suffering in this world.

Yes, its always horrible to hear. I often wonder how I might be trying to compute death if I didnt have the nerve to stand against it. I think people just forget about it. They just push the death out of their thoughts, and think about afterlives and stuff.
We can see this in our lifetimes. There is no long scale on this, it doesnt definitely take 100 years, or 500 years or 5,000 years or something like that. Indefinite life extension gets here in direct proportion to the amount of collective world determination we use to get there. In other words, the more of the world that wants it, and the more they are determined, the better our chances get. Lets maximize our chances in the name of people like your dear clergyman and friend.
I see it all around me too. The elderly people I know, my granparents, there are a few people with parkinsons that I know, some aging people with diabetes that Im sure will not fair the weather long, and so many others. I can see the death around us. I feel the world crumbling around us, and the sense of urgency it demands.
Please do add this persons initials to this topic here: http://www.imminst.org/forum/topic/2174 ... ge__st__20 We are trying to collect them there in order to try to make a more impactful list to make people feel the saddness for the weight of death upon us more heavily.

Now just imagine how you'd feel if you realized that there's nothing "after."

Death happens....persons are predistine to experience death...BUT you must go on....to learn your destiny to become immortal.I mediatate and daydream of not dieing...I wonder if all my nutritional writings and answers with become of something.,I am 49 years old...If I pray to my "higher power"...to be a healthy, attractive, youthfull person forever.,to become bodily immortal,to never die of old age or age related illnesses...to ever increase my intellect unto infinity.Teach me God creator of the heavens and earth about how to become immortal...guide my thoughts, deeds and actions.
These are some of my prayers I recite everyday.
Some beleive in more as death being to enter into heaven...they've dwell upon this concept all their lives.
Theirs a saying "Be carefull what you pray for".It might come true.

I know life goes on and i will go on, but when someone dies who is close to me, then I see how horrible death is.
For now I try to do the things I like to do en what I enjoy
