Sometimes It's All Too Clear

On another occasion I was noticing all the blondes living in the area. They all seemed so similar; tallish, good bone structure, but fading. Then I realized, these had been the hottest women in their high school classes twenty or more years before. They all married men who could help them live in this pleasant waterfront neighborhood. I live in a studio apartment in the city and it's driving me crazy. I'm just as intelligent and sensitive as the people in this neighborhood, but I don't have as much money. The city is becoming an open air insane asylum. It's uninhabitable. I don't sleep anymore due to noise and smells coming into my apartment from ignorant neighbors.
I left the library and went for a drive. There was a breathtaking view of this area in the mist, with its sailboats and sea green bays. It seemed so much saner and nicer than where I live. It broke my heart.
So if I had looked like that, I'd be living in a townhouse by the bay.
