So, what do you think? Homeless or Jesus? Can you tell the difference?

I about lost my shit when one of the images I missed came up. But, I don't want to ruin the surprise.

I'm betting it is the one having to do with this. (for others: don't click if you don't want to know)

Holy crap that movie was funny...you know...the one with jesus.

How is all this copyrighted material ending up on youtube. I thought sharing this type of stuff was illegal or people needed rights to stream it.

The good thing about YouTube is they don't check very closely as long as it isn't porn you are uploading. (although they will take it down if the copyright holder complains)

The bad thing is that it has to be under 10 minutes. I guess they figure most copyrighted material will be longer than 10 minutes.

I liked the trick one where the guys' name turns out to be "Hey-Zeus", Jesus! [tung]

Yeah, that is the one we were talking about, although he pronounces it like the regular "Jesus" in the movie The Big Lebowski. (one of the greatest movies of all time, if you have never seen it, which if you didn't recognize the guy you probably haven't)

Is "The Big Lebowski" one of those movies you have to see multiple times in order to "get" it? I've only seen it once and it seemed like some big inside joke that I didn't happen to be in on.

Very superficial evalution of my experiences:

Women don't find it funny.

I agree with shepard, there seem to be a whole genre of "stuff that women do not get", including The Big Lebowski, Chapelle Show, Dumb and Dumber, etc.

Lebowski did seem to be a bit higher class than most of this type of stuff, though.

I think humor, like all aesthetic preferences, is entirely subjective.

I have met women who find The Big Lebowski hilarious, and guys who can't stand it.

What does it for me with this movie is the characters. They are just so well written and so "over the top" (especially Walter - I think John Goodman is one of the most under rated of actors, his range is truly phenomenal).

Memorable Quotes from

"Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not 'Mr. Lebowski'. You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

Heh.

QUOTE (DonSpanton)
especially Walter

Walter is the shizznit in the movie.

I didn't find this movie at all funny. I don't know what I'm missing to be able to appreciate it. I liked Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman, Officespace, American Wedding, Wedding Crashers, etc.

It's not a gender thing. My boyfriend had the same reaction (I should have put that as a disclaimer in my original comment since I had a vague feeling people would jump to that conclusion). I also don't "get" soap operas or how anyone could enjoy spending time in a mall, and those are stereotypically female pursuits. And I think it's really funny when people belch loudly. :)

Days will never be the same without Stepheno. [lol]
