Simple question: can snus use damage your (my) gums or teeth? And if it can, what can you (I) do to prevent it beside qutting snus and all tobacco products?

What kind of snus? The kind in a little teabag-like pouch? That's probably the most benign form of tobacco; at least you aren't smoking it. Some snus is lower in nitrosamines than other tobacco products, so you could do worse. If it's the spitless, bagged stuff, I don't see a huge danger to teeth. It isn't terrifically acidic. The main problem is nicotine addiction, as you are no doubt already aware.

Yes, it isn't acidic, in fact it is basic (some ppl even say it is good for teeh for that reason).
I use mostly swedish snus, sometimes portion (teabags) and sometimes lös (without teabags). I know it's not really carcinogenic, but can salt damage your gums? I imagine it can be same as if I'd use nicotine patch on the same place everyday - not to good for skin.
