Is it a bad idea to store fireworks in your room?

I've always stored left over fireworks in my room and never really thought much of it. But I know certain types of fireworks can contain large quantities aluminum and probably less commonly lead and cadmium (along with others).

Paranoid or realistic?

When I saw the title, I thought you meant for fire reasons. (exploding unexpectedly causing fire)

I doubt they would cause health problem unless you ate them. Or if there was a fire, obviously. I would not have any flammables stored in my house let alone explosives.
