http://www.iht.com/a...ence/snpara.php

"On paper, Toxoplasma gondii looks as if it ought to be the most famous parasite on Earth. This single-celled pathogen infects more than half the world's population.
Each of Toxoplasma's victims carries thousands of the parasites, many residing in the brain. And Toxoplasma is equally adept at infecting all other warm-blooded animals."

"Once you get infected with Toxoplasma, you're infected for life"

"Once Toxoplasma enters a host, it spreads quickly. Within hours it can be detected in the heart and other organs. It is even able to infect the brain, which is protected from most pathogens by a tight barrier."

That's pretty crazy isn't it? Suddenly around age 20, I developed a strong desire to have a cat as a pet, and proceeded to adopt two from a local shelter. Coincidence?

Or TOXOPLASMA???!!! :)

I guess one thing is for sure, if you hate cats - you don't have toxoplasma. Now i envy people who hate cats :)

If you have toxoplasma (I love cats), what is the best way of (if possible) killing toxoplasma in your body? Or at least minimize the effects of toxoplasma.

Yet another reason to not eat meat, perhaps?

That will hardly help, if at all...
