'Anyone can speak Troll,' said Fred dismissively, 'all you have to do is point and grunt.'
"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" - J.K. Rowling (2000)
Troll activity did increase for some reason lately. It's no secret and it will not come as a surprise that dealing with trolls can become quite difficult. Especially when a certain level of escalation is exceeded. Banning them is difficult, labour intensive and certainly not the holy grail of moderation.
The best way to deal with them is to ignore them - most of them are attention seeking and bored children.
Be calm - Don't rise to their antagonising attitude.
Don't lower yourself to their level - Don't start throwing insults at them. It's what they are seeking for.
Or in short - don't feed them.
With a bit of help of every imminst participant we are able to deal with them without creating a lot of hassle that seems to start dominating forum atmosphere. Factual there are few troll contributions, so it should not be to difficult to deal with them.
