From dictionary.com:

in·def·i·nite
   [in-def-uh-nit]
–adjective
1.
not definite; without fixed or specified limit; unlimited: an indefinite number.
2.
not clearly defined or determined; not precise or exact: an indefinite boundary; an indefinite date in the future.

What is an indefinite life? Here are some other ways of saying it, so that we are clear:
 • Living Long Past 120
 • Living from the age of 1 second old, to anywhere from 150 to 5,000 to 999,000,000,000,000,000 or more.
 • Retaining a healthy robust body and mind and so continuing to live on.
 • Not becoming broken down and decrepit so that death may sneak in more easily in the form of disease, simple accident, etc.
 • not dying during a set time period
 • continuing to live
 • unlimited lifespan
 • sees life as an incredible opportunity that does not want to give up easily
 • likes life and so wants to keep it
 • living on perpetually into the future
 • experiencing more of the future
 • thinks death is a bad deal
 • doesn’t want to be dead
 • thinks death causes too much opportunity cost
 • avoiding death
 • avoiding oblivion
 • avoiding doing nothing so that you can do something
 • staying out of the graveyard
 • staying alive
 • surfing the elements into the great unknown

Indefinite life extension is a term used by health and longevity advocates to refer to conditions under which things that traditionally kill people are absent from a person’s life. Aging is the main culprit, though the term extends to the work to mitigate the likelihood of other forms of death as well, like individual non age related diseases and accidents. This is not to say that the chance of death would be completely absent from peoples lives, but that it would be a rare occurance, causing the estimated lifespan of most healthy individuals to become indefinite. With indefinite life extension you could still die at any time. It means that you can live for as long as you are lucky enough to avoid accidents and things from killing you. It is like the moon or the great pyramids, they can be around for an indefinite amount of time.

Indefinite life extension is not about immortality or living forever, it is about living indefinitely.

On the other end of the spectrum, this is not about living to be what many people currently think is the maximum possible lifespan range of around 125. This is about the chance to live longer than that; it is about living with indefinite life extension. You will probably not live forever. For instance, you will eventually, get hit by a truck, maybe catch a rogue disease, or something, and die, but through the realization of the goals of the movement for indefinite life extension we will live indefinitely, for indefinity.

I use the word “indefinity” as the indefinite version of infinity.
