So recently I've been having terrible episodes of lucid nightmares. Basically I dream that I wake up and weird things start happening around me - someones trying to break into my appartment or attacking me, family members are doing weird stuff or there is violence. I might not even "wake up" in my current place of living but somewhere I used to live and have thse experiences. At some point I become aware of the fact I'm dreaming and try to wake up but it just jumps into another "fake wake up" nightmare scenario. I finally do wake up for real , but its hard to stay awake and not return into these weird scary dreamscapes. I thought this was the resuult of my withdrawal from insomnia pills, but this happens regardless of whether I take anything or not. Anyone had similar problems and how did you overcome them? I read you could learn to turna lucid nightmare into a pleasant dream but dont know anything about it. Thoughts?
