I have started taking Piracetam about 10 days ago, with Choline.

piracetam (as Nootropil pills) 3.2g 2x
choline 100g 2x

ala/alcar
vit B, C, D3, K, Zinc
fish oil 3g 2x
magnesium 100mg, 1x
ashwagandha at night 1x

I'm in the middle of a project that requires my concentration and creativity. These last two weeks, I've had problems concentrating and felt non-creative at all. I'm not sure whether I should blame piracetam, since my mood usually varies between "feeling creative" and "feeling disconnected from the work at hand" (as I think happens with most people) but I wouldn't say i feel anything with Piracetam. Certainly i'm not more focused/creative.

Shall i declare myself PR (piracetam resistant)? Or should I keep trying for a few more days?

try calcium, it may also work synergistic with caffeine. you can also try lower does of piracetam since it has inverse U-shaped response curve.

Take a daily dose of 300mg * bodyweight in kg, divided into 4 doses.

This is in fact the proper dosage of piracetam.

Hooter, that would be 21g daily in my case, or 3 doses of 7g; sounds like more than I ever heard in these boards... maybe except for Isochroma :P

Thoughts?

Here if I get it on prescription through a doctor and even on our swedish medical site it says, starts with a 7.2grams per day "6pills" where you can increse the dosage by 4.8grams "4pills" every third day, but a maximum of 24grams per day "20pills" , it should be divided 2-3 times per day.

So doing 5-10g bid is not a big deal.

Yeah, the dosage recommendation is not my own but based on studies and what my doctor told me. He said to start with at least 5-7 grams and take up to 24 grams a day.

I am prescribed 20g a day by my psychiatrist/neurologist.

I switched to Aniracetam. (bulk from Cerebral-health)

---took 450mg yesterday, with choline and cocounut/fish oil. Didn't notice any changes
---took ~800mg today, with choline and cocounut/fish oil (and my usual stack, no other nootropics except ala/alcar) and I felt dumb all day. I even think people noticed how dumb I was. Stattering and not finding the right way to express my thoughts.
Word retrieval was very poor, couldn't really think creatively
Self-confidence was low.

I woke up feeling not in great shape already, so the whole thing can be unrelated, granted. But definitely felt no positive effects.

I'm trying the same again tomorrow, will report.

It would suck to be a racetam non-responder.

Thoughts?

From my experience, neither Piracetam nor Oxiracetam nor Pramiracetam enhanced creativity.
Aniracetam did. So do other Ampakines, to variant degrees.

Aniracetam 750mg bid works wonders, though it takes two weeks to start experiencing the most profound effects.

If you do not regularly exercise and eat mostly meat and vegetables at the moment, put the supplements down and start that first. I recommend P90X, or if you're out of shape, some lesser workout plan.
