Hi there, Citizen! I've found two introductory books about resveratrol:
The Longevity Factor, and
Resveratrol: Unleashing the Benefits of Red Wine.
The Longevity Factor seems very good (I have it, but have only been able to leaf through so far). It provides some context on the broader field of anti-aging, and explains the (putative) mechanisms of resveratrol in a fairly accessible way, without dumbing it down too much. It's three years old, so remember more recent research may have revised or superceded that which was available at that time. But this book would give you a solid foundation for engaging in further research and discussion.
Beth Giesler's
Resveratrol was published only a year and a half ago, but is very simplistic. The level of science is consistent with what you'd find in a general health magazine, and doesn't go very far into mechanisms or the state of research. This is the book I would give an older parent, or someone who gets turned off by more involved science. If you have even a wikipedia-skimming understanding of the health benefits of red wine, and know how to do a bit of research into supplement products, skip to
Longevity Factor.
