If technology comes from the mind, is it wrong to use it to improve the mind?

By placing faith in technology do we lose faith in our humanity?

A huge part of furthering the transhumanist cause is to bring it to the forefront of the debate in art and culture.

THE VIGILANTE is transmedia near-future thriller in which science has developed the technology to customize the human mind; Artemis Parker, a brilliant but troubled teenager on the run, has a problem with that.

It is a full scale trans-media project, spanning multiple websites, social media, and graphic novels.

We are strong candidates for the $25,000 Sloan Grant (awarded to a film that promotes science and technology) and hope to compete for the Visual Effects Society student award (recently presented by Steven Spielberg).

If you contribute or even just share a link to our Kickstarter campaign, you would be greatly responsible for the project's success.

As art changes technology and technology changes art, we intend to ask the right questions at the right time.

It looks like youve almost reached the $70,000 pledge goal. The deadline is the 11th of June. I like the concept, and encourage people around here to consider donating to this Transhuman Kickstarter campaign.

We need plenty more creative types to get people thinking on such topics so I've given $10 to back this project. :)

Congratulations on your success in raising this money. It takes a lot of hard work to reach those goals like that and it's very easy for them to fall short.

They were successful with the movie above, the Vigilante, and raised the money they needed. That was inspiring to see, can help cause more motivation across the board, and empowers us a bit more to have confidence in our ability to raise money for cause projects like this.

There is another campaign working to raise $20,000 to help edit the movie at Movie Hatch. http://www.moviehatc...32/task,detail/

It is called, "Long For This World" by Jason Sussberg & David Alvarado "A documentary on the scientists in the human longevity movement who are trying to cure aging as though it were a disease." Does anybody have any ideas on helping to get this money raised?
