From my own experince and reading quite frequently that hydergine causes fatigue, tiredness, sleepiness, etc. I've come to think it may be due to vasodilation. I have a very low BMI (tall and skinny) and quite noticable vascularity, and while on hydergine I notice that my veins bulge from my hands and it aches to hold them on my side. I also get super low blood pressure while on hydergine, which is a common cause of tiredness. Upon taking mixed amphetamine salts (Adderall) I've noticed that, accounting for the intense stimulation from the Adderall, that there is no loss of efficacy due to anything that would resemble sleepiness from taking hydergine. Also, I couldn't find any interactions between Adderall and Hydergine. Are there any other vasoconstrictors that aren't caffeine, nicotine or amphetamines that anybody would recommend for use with Hydergine? I would like to get to the root of this hydergine fatigue. Comments appreciated!

Does the same to me, I need to keep Hydergine use infrequent not everyday kind of thing. Lowers my BP too much otherwise. Hydergine was  used to lower BP, it's a central alpha-blocker as opposed to beta-blocker like propanol. It sometimes makes my eyes red(presumably from vasodilation) that makes it look like I'm stoned also. Like to take it before bed as the tiredness helps with sleeping also.

Here's a weird fact: ergot alkaloids as a rule are potent vasoconstrictors but after hydrogenation(dihydrogenation) they lose the vasoconstrictiveness and take on vasodilation effects.
