I'm beginning to become too dormant and I need to fix this and quick. About 6 months ago I began Effexor to treat my severe depression. I, as well as others around me, definitely see the dramatic change this drug has brought to me. I am content and emotionally stable. However, about 2 months ago, I perceived a lack of enthusiasm/interest. By today, it is unbearable. Especially considering I have college to go through. What do I do about this? I cant even think for myself in discussions because I just lack the enthusiasm. Normally, I am a very creative thinker. All I do is go home and play the same game over and over.

I have thought that maybe taking strattera with my effexor would be a good idea. I read up on strattera in the long term and noticed people saying that its effects dont last past a week. Is this true? Please note, Effexor is an SNRI. Hence, there is a slight norepinephrine increase associated with it. Could it be possible that my NE has decreased below baseline?

My stack:

Morning

- CDP Choline
- ALCAR
- 2 mg Guanfacine
- 150 mg Effexor
- Fish Oil
- Uridine
- Centrum multi + vit D + B-complex (overkill?)

Afternoon

-1 mg guanfacine

Ignoring the fact that Centrum is a horrible multi, the most obvious choice would be to add Wellbutrin which is definitely motivating to some degree (it did not however address anhedonia too much in my case). Another option would be some truly dopaminergic drug (Methylphenidate or even Amphetamine) but they are no toys and docs do not like to prescribe them for non ADD patients...
