For almost the entire past year, I've noticed my skin has relly developed problems with healing - minor cuts and scratches take AGES to heal, and do leave red scars that persist for long even after they've healed. Even several priocks of a micor-needle in a cosmetic procedure to moisturize face with a cocktail of HA and vitamins resulted in me having red dots from the almost microscopic needles for AGES. Also, I have developed a tendency to weak cappillaries in my face. I have no idea what exactly could be the cause - my diet has been kind of poor that year, mostly due to not enough nutrition - I dont eat fast food, but I do eat very little food generally due to lack of appetite - what I do eat is healthy but probably does nto provide some necessary nutrients.I also dont drink the recommended amounts of water.

I dont know if fixing the above will take care of the problem though, so I wanted to ask for advice concerning supplements that would help speed up skin healing and strenghten capillaries.

Also -- any theories as to why this is occurring?

Why? Do you have hypertension?

-A source of OPCs such as grape seed extract or pycnogenol and L-Arginine will boost eNOS. You have to take significantly more than the recommended dose of OPCs. If youd prefer the herbal route, maca instead of l-arginine.
-If you're not already taking it, vitamin K will improve clotting and help strengthen capillaries. It's an essential supplement for everyone IMHO.
-In TCM, they use schizandra berry to improve circulation. It's also known to boost NO.
-I have personally found tocotrienols to improve wound healing, This http://www.ncbi.nlm....pubmed/14566071 study in which they used pretty large doses seems to support that theory.
Not promising any miracles but these should all help somewhat.

Hello Violett. Haven't seen you in a while. I can comment on the particular problem you are having but based on the totality of all your posts, I also think you really need a good therapist so you know that the inside of you is as important as the outside. I remember you didn't have that great an experience with a therapist before. They vary. Not all of them are good. I think it would help if you could find a good one.

Yes, poor nutrition is a cause of slow healing. Sometimes over-dieting or going without food is a symptom of another problem, too. Drinking enough water is important but you don't have to go to extremes. I find, however, that if a restless young person is not eating and not drinking enough water, they may be doing other things that aren't healthy and that may need attention. If you are taking drugs, drinking, smoking cigarettes, living on caffeine and sugar, I hope you will look into getting help to stop that.

For your particular physical issue at this time, eating healthy balanced meals with enough fat and protein is important, as are eating fruits and vegetables. Stimulants like caffeine tend to make broken capillaries worse. Taking vitamin K may help. Putting cooled green tea on your skin may help. Eating steamed leafy greens along with something containing fat or oil may help. Taking MSM can help. I would take plain powdered MSM dissolved in liquid on an empty stomach, along with vitamin C.

You need to believe in your own importance and seek appropriate help.

We'd love to see you on the Self-Expression threads again, if that interests you:
