Scientists have now developed some innovative strategies for amplifying our own stem cells in tissue culture without aging and then re-insert the stem cells back into the body. Since our stem cells decline with age, rejuvenating and expanding our adult stem cells could lead to cures for many chronic diseases and rejuvenation of our aging bodies. Unfortunately, nearly all funding on stem cells is now devoted to embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells, which have serious problems to be worked out before these stem cells could become a practical treatment. Adult stem cells offer a faster and better alternative.

Centagen is a biotechnology company that is developing medical therapies that utilize a patient's own adult stem cells. The company has a new technology to expand adult stem cells in vitro (in the lab) up to 1 million times, then rejuvenate them and inject the stem cells back into the person from which they came. This will help repair and rejuvenate organs and tissues damaged by aging, disease and injury. The process may even help healthy people stay young.

Adult stem cell therapy has already been used in FDA clinical trials and in clinics around the world to successfully treat a variety of health conditions such as heart failure, multiple sclerosis, spinal injury and joint problems. The problem is that each of us has a limited supply of the kind of stem cells needed to rebuild, repair, and rejuvenate any part of our body. As we age, the supply of these cells become smaller while their healing power diminishes.

The purpose of this project is to enhance a person's stem cells with factors needed for rapid expansion without cell aging. By providing a practically unlimited supply of one's own rejuvenated stem cells, we believe it will be possible to keep people young and healthy for over a century. There is also great hope for those with various health conditions related to aging, disease or injury to recover and live life to the fullest.

It appears you're peddling questionable supplements in a dubious manner.

The purpose of the Indiegogo.com campaign is to raise money for adult stem cell therapy research and development. The supplements are purchased from the manufactures who are selling them to us at cost to help us raise funding. We make no profit on them and all of the money raised will go to purchase incubators, pay for lab space, the cost of lab testing and other related expenses.

Do you know if they can clone and expand fat stem cells, and re-inject them into the body?

Centagen, there are many adult stem cell and IPS companies and public sector groups out there and they already have incubators.
Its unclear to me what makes your approach unique. Your website is rather vague on this point. Or is it 'just' the philosophy? Could you elaborate a little bit please?

Hmm, I didn't even look at their website... Seems a bit iffy.

I wanted to test some of this one day in my garage but it's incredible the speed at which things go. In my view now the technical improvements to go further are to
- modify the cells along the way to overexpress p53 (or some other tumor suppressor, like Blasco's cancer-protected mice)
- help the body get colonized by stem cells. Mild radiations or chemo might be needed
- test test test in animal models

I'm glad and feel encouraged that you would had the scientific know-how to do this yourself. :)
