I'm suspicious that after taking PQQ for a couple months, I've developed some heart palpitations or something. My heart rate is a little too fast, and pounding kind of hard, especially when I'm trying to sleep.

And, now I'm only able to get about 6.5 hours of sleep each night. For as little sleep as I'm getting, surprisingly I feel pretty decent, but it's very uncharacteristic for me.

It could be something else. I'm not convinced it's the PQQ yet. I just wonder if anyone else has noticed anything with their heart rhythm or sleep after taking PQQ for awhile?

I take 10-20 mg a day. I haven't noticed anything different or strange like you've described. What else do you take in the evening?
If you're concerned , take the PQQ in the morning.

I just finished a 3 week trial of the doctor's best PQQ, 20mg in the morning. Was working fine at first, but something is keeping me awake at night and I'm suspecting it's either this or the glycine i've been taking. The glycine has been helpful in the past so I'd suspect the PQQ except I've been off it now 3 days and I still barely slept last night.

I tried it again. PQQ gives me insomnia, after taking it for 4 or 5 days or so. I can get to sleep ok, but I wake up somewhere between 2am and 5am and stay awake, or drift in and out of sleep, for hours maybe. I usually get back to sleep eventually. So, it worsens sleep quality for me.

Also, it doesn't seem to matter what time of day I take it. The half-life of the effect appears to be too long to just take it in the morning.

I'm not sure I notice anything from Glycine.
