I take magnesium malate at bed time and it seems to improve my time to sleep and sleep quality. First noticed it with ZMA then decided to try with straight magnesium, and had the same effect. My sister reports more daytime energy when she takes it, but she isn't sure whether it is sleep related or not (might also be related to CFS which was diagnosed by her doctor)I doubt that you'll see any difference if you're taking the same dose. I've always taken magnesium in the morning, and I don't feel sleepy during the day, for what it's worth. Is magnesium really a sleep aid? Anyone here have any luck with it?
