Well, I'm not sure you can acquire longevity syndrome by diet since it's supposedly hereditary but my HDL is now over 75.

Test from 2008 when I had full-on metabolic syndrome:

TC 258
TG 447
HDL 39
LDL not calculated

Test from yesterday:

TC 177
TG 68
HDL 77
LDL Calc 86 (76.5 Iranian)

My thyroid, and everything else, is within normal range:

TSH 2.490 uIU/mL 0.450-4.500

Thyroxine (T4) 7.1 ug/dL 4.5-12.0

T3 Uptake 34% 24-39

Free Thyroxine Index 2.4 1.2-4.9

I've read that centenarians and their relatives tend to have values at the lower end of normal. Is that correct or is it just lower than average? The thyroid panel wasn't comprehensive - rT3 wasn't measured for example. It looks to me that T3 wasn't measured either. T3 uptake was though, which looks a little on the high side.

At any rate, I'm just happy that everything is at least in normal range now.

Wow Chupo, huge change on the trigs! To what do you attribute the improvement?

Going low carb mainly. More recently, I've been doing low carb and moderate to low protein as well. I'm sure weightloss has contributed. I was about 270 lbs in 2008. Now I'm about 180 lbs.
