I am looking for something reliable which puts you to sleep fast and does not cause hangovers and which can be taken prn.

Do you have any suggestions?

My doc suggested imipramine but I don't really like it it can have a lot of side effects.

Theres a short acting benzo lasting 2 hours but i forgot its name, i think with that one you may avoid addiction even tough if youd took it everyday.

that said ssris and benzos dont really interact much so no-one would be fully able to answer the question.

I'd try agomelatine.  It might improve the efficacy of your SSRI and decrease some side effects at the same time.
