As many members don't go to the ideas sub forum, I am taking the liberty of posting a link the caliban's thread asking:
Is there interest in a program for having supplements, nootropics, pharmaceuticals etc. tested by a 3rd party lab?

Do post in this linked thread if you think this is a good idea and would make use of such a facility/feature:

Personally I think this would be great for group buys etc.

This little device may soon tell you if your pills are real, or fakes:

This Star Trek-Like ‘Tricorder’ Tells You Exactly What’s In Your Food

"This is the first-ever handheld, universal molecular scanner. Now, you don’t need tech the size of a lab in order to tell when the things you encounter are…"

Maybe this will clean up the supplement market a bit, and eliminate the need for third-party testing?

Ye; I posted about it here:
http://www.longecity...ecular-scanner/

NB this bit:

“We’re looking for developers, people with access to special materials that can help us scan and expand the database of the physical materials in the world..."

So it looks like this device is useless unless what you testing is already in the database.
As many substances here, most in need of testing, are 'cutting edge'...

Now go vote to get group buys etc easily tested 'in house' damn-it!  :)
