This brand seems okay in it's own right but in as far as this thread is about tannins: by far the most tannins are found in the rind of the pomegranate. The really good PJ is made by squeezing the seeds as well as the (inner) rind. The resulting PJ is extremely tart, not sweet. The brand I buy here in Holland is so tart that I cannot drink it pure.

I'd just like to say, that pomegranate and it's extracts have been awesome for my regimen. Enhanced arterial plasticity? Is this not enough? This stuff does something, something good. On paper or not, it's just good stuff. I don't see how such a small amount of juice could make anyone sick. I think the pom wonderful stuff that is what is mostly available has a small serving size, perhaps you drank too much as other posters suggested?

tannins is what makes the juice dry and tannic so to say. like red wine and promegranate juice, they contain the most tannins and they have that dryness but also the tartness you speak of as well without the sweetness associated with grape or pomegranate commercial juices. im pretty damn sure that is why red wine is so healthy and also why perhaps the best source of pomegranate antioxidants are concentrated in its wine varieties
