I recently did a gut panel and found very high levels of beta-glucuronidase. I'm not quite sure how to tackle this, but I've read that it increases the risk of colon cancers.
I've also been supplementing beet root powder (a serving provides something like "six whole beets worth of nitric oxide".) I've read that dietary nitrates can form nitrosamines, and that this might be a worse scenario for a high fat diet.
So, I'm wondering -- if I'm taking free-form amino acids around exercise (eg. BCAAs), and I'm taking beet root extract around exercise, then I'm generally eating a high fat diet, should I have any concern over nitrosamine formation or subsequent colon cancer risk?
