I found this show rather provocative, since I'm experiencing age related degeneration of my knees, hips and ankles. The only stem cell therapy available to me in the US is a same-day injection of a comparatively small number of my own aging stem cells, and this could cost several thousand dollars per joint. $20 something thousand for multiple site injections of what Riordan calls his "golden" umbilical stem cells sounds like a better choice, if I go the stem cell route.
I would certainly have liked to hear more from Gibson Sr. rather than hearing a second hand account of his treatment. I noted that it was asserted that he had improvements in cognitive and erectile function in addition to improvement in the hip which was the principal reason for his visit.
I have done a lot of searching about this facility (the Stem Cell Institute) online and finding info that is not produced by the facility themselves is difficult. However, stem cell authority Dr. Arnold Caplan acknowledged in an interview that he suggested that a friend go to this facility when their multiple sclerosis did not respond well to pharmaceutical therapy. That seems like a strong endorsement from a leading expert in the field.
I wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone on the board has been to the Stem Cell Institute or had come across any information.
