Seems strange that a lifespan champion ( for rotifers, at least) has garnered so little attention over the past 8 years.  I did do a search here and couldn't find anything about it.

Easier to call it 'IPAM'.

I must say, this sounds very interesting. Not only because this substance resulted in an increase in lifespan to 300% (for those small animals), but also because it gives an insight on which aspect of aging might be crucial.

I am not an expert, but in my view aging leads to a series of changes in our body (from telomeres, epigenetic changes, waste in our cells...) and even if we could beat one of those aspects, we might still feel old and die because of other ones.

However: The fact that a mitochondria-affecting molecule can lead to 300% lifespan, this could lead to the assumption, that processes in the mitochondria are the crucial aspect in aging.

This website also writes a little about this molecule. I didnt find any other research however yet.
