it's very common to be intolerant to grains.
Grains(wheat, oats, etc) kill me - demotivation, low energy, bad mood. Same with dairy.
I do best on fruits/vegetables + a little bit of tubers(sweet potatoes/potatoes) + animal protein + animal fats,
What is the mechanism behind this? It's obviously NOT celiaki, gluten intolerance - the symptoms don't match.
Is the hypothesized mechanism some kind of lecithin-hypersensitivity?

Perhaps the conversion into TMAO? Apparently some Lecithine's do this.

Or just plain ol' increased oxidative stress from any number of compounds in the plant matter? Grains don't want to be eaten after all, they're not fruits, more like nuts.
I notice that none of the common grains are listed as antioxidant-rich in the lists in this document regarding risks and benefits of plant-based diet...
