Hey all;
My modafinil tolerance is pretty damn high, and I'm spending a lot of damn money on it.
I can't take time off of modafinil ATM, I'm formally diagnosed with several sleep disorders, and I legitimately need modafinil to get out of bed and stay awake during the day.
Assuming (and it's just an assumption) Modafinil's primary mechanism of tolerance is induction of enzymes CYP3A4 and CYP450; Would milk thistle aid? I assume getting the enzymes back to "normal" levels would aid a fair amount.
Also, I'd guess that a H1 blocker could definitely be of significant help. A few anecdotal reports I've seen corroborate that, but before I go all benadryl gung-ho, I'd like to make sure there's good reason.
Last thought on a similar note, wouldn't grapefruit juice potentiate modafinil? If I recall grapefruit juice is primarily CYP3A4, and I believe I read that the majority of modafinil's tolerance mechanism is in CYP450.
Any help or thoughts are much appreciated, thanks everyone.
