I am watching this program on PBS's NOVA series called "Ghost in Your Genes" about epigenetics, and it is pretty fascinating. Part of what they were looking at was aging related diseases (and aging itself) along with lots of other diseases (autism, etc.) and things like passing traits on from one generation to another. (most of the last half is about passing traits on) They even go on to show how people who lived through famines had children (and grandchildren) who had much longer lifespans than those who had lots to eat.

I hadn't really studied much about epigenetics in general, but the program was very interesting. If I see it online anywhere, I will post it here, but I would recommend watching it if you get a chance to.
