LongeCity is a non-profit organisation with the mission of conquering the blight of involuntary death.

Topics of discussion on our forums sometimes attract the attention of advertisers and marketers. Surreptitious advertising is prohibited by our bylaws. Specific products and companies should not normally be discussed. This sub-forum is a very limited exception. Here, such discussion may take place where this is in the overall benefit of consumers. From time-to-time, members and guests will have legitimate questions about certain products and/or services and this is the forum for those discussions.
This is not an open license for retailers and marketers to use this forum as advertising space. Direct sales pitches or marketing will be deleted and may lead to account suspension. Also, users reporting 'bad service' from a company do this entirely under their own responsibility. LongeCity does not vet, review or endorse such posts. We will collaborate with any court order that obliges LongeCity to disclose any records we may hold about an account where this account has been accused of defamation.
LongeCity is not a 'complaints' forum.

We would ask users and Members (who can remove a post with a single click) to report unwarranted advertising.

There is a special option in this forum under which companies are allowed to self-promote freely in 'their own thread'.

Terms:
A company makes a one-time donation to LongeCity of $200. The company must have a website and at least one of their directors, officers or managers must have a LongeCity forum account in good standing. The donation does not entitle the company to anything, but if it so requests LongeCity may, at it sole and unfettered discretion set up a 'sponsored thread' for this company. The first post of that thread will contain some basic information about the company, a link to their site and in a separate font a text similar to the following which will apply to that thread:

This thread is sponsored by (X). It can be used for promotion or informal interaction with existing or potential customers. (X).is free to delete any of their own contributions from this thread at its sole discretion, but cannot edit the content of a contribution by another user.LongeCity is not affiliated with (X) in any way and does endorse or vouch for the safety of its products or services. LongeCity provides, at its discretion, this thread to (X) in grateful acknowledgement for a donation made to LongeCity. This thread is not, and must not be used by anyone, including (X), as a means of conducting business, recording transactions or serving official notices or otherwise be relied on in any way. LongeCity may withdraw access to this thread, or remove this thread at its sole discretion at any time for any reason. (X) may decide to render this thread inaccessible by visitors at any time or remove, but not alter, posts made by others in this thread. With the exception of an express permission to advertise in this thread, the LongeCity User Agreement (Bylaw A) applies as normal in this thread.

use this form to make a payment and send 'further information' via the paypal form. It may take at least 7days until the thread is set up.
