Yohimbine has a biological half-life of about 1.05 hours...but it's hypothesized that the noradrenergic effect will last for up to 6-8 hours afterwards..
This effect is enhanced by caffeine, beta-agonists, phenylephrine derivates (cough syrups etc), MAO-A inhibitors and some amino acid substrates.
Corynanthine and some other alkaloids present in the plant have a average half-life of 28 mins...but it can vary per plant source and person.
In summary, there are no direct risks continuously taking Yohimbe or Yohimbine, but it must be dosed properly and titrated properly with regard to one's own needs and with respect to the variable circumstances due to it's interaction with a multitude of substances..
On average, yohimbe/yohimbine do not have any negative interaction with a lot of common medications or herbs, but they do potentiate SSRI's, adrenergics, will alter the response of dopamine medications (but not necessarily for the worst) and also it's worth noting if you ingest carbs or sweet foods surpassing 15g of carbs that yohimbine, but perhaps not the other alkaloids will lose some of their effects..
Under no circumstances should yohimbine or yohimbe be combined with modafanil or beta-blocking drugs...nor should it be used with amphetamines.
Caffeine can be used but favorably at low doses...and beta-agonists increase the risk of tachycardia with the plant or it's constitutes..but won't necessarily increase blood pressure if alpha-1's are sufficiently blocked.
