I'm going on a 4 day holiday with friends in a few weeks and I've decided that I will abstain from alcohol during the trip. Nowadays I find alcohol makes me rather depressed for the next several days which is far from ideal on holiday.
Seeing as I'll be the only sober one in my group, I'm interested in a nootropic / stack which would be conducive to sustained socializing over a 4 day period.
I've tried the following in the past:
L-Tyrosine
Made me agitated, irratable and aggressive.
DL-Phenalalanine
Similar to L-Tyrosine but less pronounced
Choline and Inositol
Made me feel quiet and introverted
5-HTP
Made colours extremely vibrant, lessened obsessive thoughts but made me feel weak and inefective in the world.
Tryptophan
Similar to 5-HTP but less pronounced
Rosa Rhodolia
Quite nice yet subtle effect. Subtle increase in a feeling of wellbeing and libido without any pronounced urge to do anything in particular.
I'd be interested in maybe trying one of the Racatams, but I've heard mixed opinions on them. Also, I'm not sure about increasing my choline intake because of my previous experiences with it. My experience with it seems to coincide with what this source http://mindrenewal.us/page13.html says about high acetylcholine i.e. it can make you introverted, depressed, give you anhedonia and a host of other issues which is the opposite of what you want. Apparently this is because high levels of acetylcholine reduces other neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine.
Bearing these things in mind, if anyone could recommend something for the trip that would be great.

Inositol is fine, but I just don't dig the massive doses it requires. I would drop the phenylalanine, choline, rhodiola. The 5-htp may cause tolerance issues by the third day. So that's a fine time to break out the bacopa and sardines (or maybe start dashing in the tyrosine, i don't know). Ginseng, ginkgo, and green tea will help sustain your energy, and for what it's worth they all also have serotonin and dopamine boosting effects. Maybe some magnesium and a multivit if you won't have the strictest control over diet?

Phenibut is the most effective "supplement" for that you can find, but it can give you rebound anxiety.
