if you are looking to contribute money I would steer you towards the labs of either Michael Rose or Cynthia Kenyon. Dr. Rose has used artificial selection to breed drosophili that live 4x longer and is currently looking into the genetic changes that occurred. Cynthia has performed gene knockouts, extending c.elegans life 6x. They are both world class, underfunded researchers.
