Hello,

I've recently seen price hikes on products like Great Lakes Collagen selling on Amazon here in the UK. Can any any UK folk recommend a decent place to buy supplements and a good price point?

I've heard Luckyvitamin is reasonable and you can pay for the duty charges upfront so they're prepaid and you don't get hit on delivery. Anybody use them or others?

Many thanks!

I no longer use Amazon or Ebay very much at all bc here's a lil secret:   they usually screw you over now.   I say this as a LONGTIME customer.   I have bought overpriced fakes thinking I was getting a deal from "reputable"  buyers,   with the wrong serial numbers.   I also notice that they ALWAYS inflate the price because they need to recoup some of the losses they get as second party sellers,   and make a profit off of YOU.   I really am pissed at how much advantage is taken.   I have seen a seven dollar light bulb sold for seventy dollars -- no joke!    It's been happening more and more and I wonder if anyone else has noticed this bizarre pricing.   So I started going to the original sellers and did notice it helping.   Sometimes the price is a bit higher but at least you "might"  be getting the real deal.    I have used Swanson's and they are very dependable.   I heard that Now is also good.   CVS might offer worldwide shipping and they are dependable.

I used to buy collagen supplements but then I realized  there is no way to detect where in the body it will go and I don't want my nose any bigger.   Ha.   Also I figured rather than waste my money on overpriced collagen supplements I'd rather buy the pure ground up hyaluronic acid from bulksupplements.com.    A lot of supplements are not necessary I think.   I wish I liked gnawing on bone marrow...

Mate, you haven't seen my nose yet! hehe. I have a budget put aside for sups so I just try and get all round best available options for my pot O money. Does the bulk HA do anything?

well I am def.  trying to pare down because I am always broke.   And NO,   the hyaluronic acid is always b.s.   I was an idiot to buy it to begin with because,  as I keep telling gullible types I know,  it is simply not possible for it to "work."   The molecules are far too large to get into the layer they need to get into,  to do a damn thing.   People on Amazon might claim the serum they made worked wonders -- and there are MANY overpriced serums out there who jack up the price because they have this ingredient,   just go take a look.   Even when you get the molecule as small as possible it cannot help.   If you cut a hole in your skin,   perhaps it would.   You have to inject it and that's the only way.

By mouth I also saw zero difference.   You could achieve more with drinking more water and a dermaroller with C and E serums.   I never ever saw a difference.

On this site I recall finding some well researched potential supplements and nootropics that have a lot of promise for brain issues.   Off the top of my head,   memantine,   NR, etc.  so I'd say type in "Alzheimer's prevention"  or something like that in the search bar.   Of course sleep and exercise are the biggies,   but if you're like me and never can sleep,   I'm looking into injectable epithalon which stimulates melatonin.   It's pricey though.   Sleep is when you burn off the plaques that are rampant with Alzheimer's.   So,   I'm screwed with all my years of not sleeping.   Another option is sublingual endoluten ,   but they are charging a fortune for it so I'd say don't give them your cash.   I refuse to be scammed!

I've written to all the supplement producers whose products i'm interested in (Thorne Research, Great Lakes, Visbiome) and I'm awaiting to hear their recommendations in regards to where to buy here in the UK. LuckyVitamin was another fair choice as you pay for the import/duty upfront and it works out £4 cheaper per item (the particular one I'm after).

Just placed an order with Lucky Vitamins & Vivomixx for some sups here in the UK. Now I want to get hold of NiaCel (Nicotinamide Riboside) by Thorne Research but need some help!

I'm weary of buying on Amazon (as someone pointed out above), and wrote to Thorne's distributor in the UK. They said they weren't able to import the product due to EU regulations.

Can anyone point in the right direction of acquiring this product or something similar?
