I haven't seen any of the previous programmes in this series so I have no idea what it is going to be like but quoting from my TV guide:

Former athlete Scott Bridges tries to recapture his youth with a month-long course of anti-aging drugs and a strict exercise and diet regimen.

The programme starts at 11:05pm on channel 4.

I live in the States, but I saw that episode about a year ago when it originally aired. I like everything that Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me was great!), but the episode you are talking about wasn't particularly great for the anti-aging movement. The guy that they put on hormones/micronutrients starts having kidney problems etc. after awhile. Also, his wife seems like a real b***h and thinks he is spending too much time exercising, etc. It is an entertaining episode, nonetheless, but I thought some of the other 30 Days episodes were a bit better, like the living on minimum wage for 30 days.

Here is the website for the show, if you are interested: http://www.fxnetwork...0days/main.html

I didn't really expect much from the programme but thought it would be worth highlighting for anyone interested.

I think they have already shown the minimum wage programme but I missed it. It would probably have limited relevance to the UK as the mimimum wage is so much higher here than in the states.

Thanks for the link by the way, I found a webpage on the channel 4 website but it doesn't provide much more info than the TV guide description. The link you provided gives much more info.

no prob, I would check it out if you were home anyway, it is still pretty interesting, just doesn't cast anti-aging in that great of a light.

This particular episode is a bust, nothing useful to be gained. The guy was making improvements, but...

[1] His wife was a controlling bitch who didn't want to see her husband start to firm up and look out of her league, and

[2] The longevity doctor didn't appear to be one of the better ones in the field.

Duke, that was my general impression as well. I couldn't stand his wife, she was really annoying. I don't see how some people stay together, quite frankly. If she started treating me like she treated him I would not stay with her, perhaps she was nicer when they first got married.

Well I've just finished watching the programme and I would say it was worth the time spent watching it. I was initially surprised to hear that the anti-aging doctor had never had any reported side-effects but then towards the end he says he has never looked into them in any great detail. I wouldn't have thought blood work and sperm count would be that unusual.

The wife was an interesting character, I wonder whether she would have been less of a problem if the cardiovascular trainer was a guy.

Another point for dukenukem's list:

[3] He started to take 22 different supplements and drugs all at once.
