That Reuters actually distributed a story that did NOT bash supplements in the headline. I would have expected this paragraph near the bottom:
As to what dose of ibuprofen to use, Fotuhi urges caution, since the drug can lead to stomach ulcers. He recommends a dose no higher than 100 milligrams per day.
.. to have resulted in a headline more along the lines of:
Scientist Urges caution with vitamin / Ibuprofen combination for Alzheimer's.
Maybe the editor or reporter is buddies with the guy that actually patented the drug / vitamin / omega 3 combo pill before issuing this "press release" (aka advertisement as news).
