hey the quote thing is trippng me up, it's like you gotta newline after quote to get it to work? Am I or my Ubuntu box doing something wrong, or is it just a bug?

It's a bug, one that we haven't invested the work to fix because we're upgrading to a new forum in which either A) it will be fixed, or B) we'll be willing to invest the energy to fix it.

yes, this has been discussed a lot. You have to put another line in (hit "enter") between the last line of text you are quoteing and the "
"

or you can delete the name of te one you have quoted:
EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO

EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU MAY DO
A nice thing to do is something like this:

Infernity
EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU MAY DO

Apart from the extra return issue, if you have a complicated structure of quote's and/or edit a post with quotes. it get's screwed-up completely sometimes. You happen to see plain (php) code in that case.

The solution to that is to type your posts in word, so that in that case the original text is still available for copy-paste. I'm using word anyway for spell checking. Except for this post. Find the spelling errors... :)
