Curcumin, Sulforaphane : Genotoxic ?

Hello, I'm looking for supplement highly effective in cancer prevention and that can destroy cancer at early stage
I found these 2 popular supplements : Curcumin and Sulforaphane
The problem is some people told me that curcumin and sulforaphane may cause DNA damage at normal dosage ! that's why i'm really afraid to use them, what do you think ?
Do you know any other supplement that can prevent cancer ? I particulary want to prevent ORAL CANCER ( palate, tongue, lips...)

Think the dose makes the poison, but I'd be surprised if curcumin was toxic at even very high doses.
From my notes:
- We observed cellular senescence after using curcumin in 2.5–5 μM concentrations range, and the highest concentration described in the serum was 3.6 μM [1].
- From one of the studies on longvida the concentration max (Cmax) 88 nmol/L, 85 nmol/L, and 111 nmol/L at doses of 2, 3, and 4 grams respectively.
So actual patients had about 1/61th of the observed level that required toxicity at 2.5 μM. I think it would require an unbelievable dose to trigger genotoxicity or alternatively your liver would have to be basically not functioning (I guess). Maybe someone has better data on this issue, but this is my off the hand 10 minute analysis/input.
- Grabowska, W., Kucharewicz, K., Wnuk, M., Lewinska, A., Suszek, M., & Przybylska, D. et al. (2015). Curcumin induces senescence of primary human cells building the vasculature in a DNA damage and ATM-independent manner. AGE, 37(1). doi:10.1007/s11357-014-9744-y

There have been many studies of curcumin in humans, often at quite high doses. Honestly I think it would be hard to find even an animal study where curcumin did any detectable harm, not counting high-dosage studies that set out to trigger toxic effects.
I would not necessarily recommend this product for children or even young adults who are still growing (maybe age 20 or so). Also it would be a common sense not to supplement this during pregnancy, as this molecule interacts with a lot of proteins and biological processes related to growth & angiogenesis signaling. IMO it's more for older adults who may be harboring some dysfunctional cells and likely have more inflammation going on than they need.
Not really certain about sulforaphane. It's not nearly as well studied so the unknowns are greater.
See also low dose aspirin, melatonin, omega-3 fatty acids.

IP6 (inositol hexaphpsphate) has some remarkable anti-cancer properties, and a remarkably benign safety profile.
https://pdfs.semanti...fd9417633c1.pdf
Interestingly, iron chelation is supposed to be the protective action from IP6, & Curcumin is also an iron chelator.
https://www.ncbi.nlm...pubmed/16545682
There is also cancer reduction to the "upper aerodigestive" organs reported in a study of iron reduction through phlebotomy (blood donation) for Peripheral Arterial Disease.
https://pdfs.semanti...71cd143babd.pdf
"Upper aerodigestive" : "Total 7, control 6, iron reduction 1"
Most all cancers were greatly reduced in the iron reduction group. From Table 1 (bladder cancer was the joker in the deck & pancreatic not statistically significant)
(total, control & iron reduction groups respectively)
Lung 38 23 15
Colorectal 13 9 4
Prostate 12 8 4
Upper aerodigestive 7 6 1
Bladder 8 1 7
Pancreas 1 0 1
Other* 19 13 6
Total 98 60 38 *
The 19 cancers at other sites include melanoma (n=4); lymphoma, soft tissue sarcoma, adenocarcinoma of unknown primary, malignant carcinoid, and hepatocellular (n=2 each); and multiple myeloma, renal cell, metastatic pancreatic endocrine carcinoma, gastric, and cholangiocarcinoma (n=1 each).

Don't know if your concern about oral cancers are tobacco related, but tobacco has a high iron content, & there has been speculation that the iron particulate of tobacco smoke may be one of the primary carcinogens. I expect the same would be true for snuff/snus & oral cancers. An IP6 in water mouth rinse before bed might be an effective protocol for oral tobacco use if this is the case.

After all these years, you've finally got me to look into IP6 to some depth.
I didn't know it had an effect on glycolysis:

Several thousand millions inhabitants of India in the tenths of centuries they have been consuming turmeric, and therefore curcuma, may claim the contrary if you ask. Probably.
