Guys...please let me know of any reputable company that sells standardized, potent, certified organic(preferably) or wildcrafted and reasonably priced herbal extracts free of heavy metals and pesticides. I urgently need some herbs but I'm not sure which company is good. I'm thinking of paradise herbs since they are tested to be free from pesticides, not sure about the heavy metal content though. They are a lil more expensive than other brands. Maybe you guys and share with me the brands you use. :)

I use Gaia and New Chapter. I know there is a thread about this somewhere here already, I think ajnast4r started it.

Kurt, tell what you're looking for and I can probably help you wildcraft them. I've just finished my latest book, ALIVE AND WELL WITH WILD FOODS (summer release) that covers longevity herbs. So, I'm somewhat up on the topic. On the other hand, I trust the quality found in the herbs from the Life Extension Foundation, www.lef.org (I don't get a kickback for saying nice things about them). I'm certain there are many other sites as well.

gaia is my fav herbal extract company... by far the highest quality on the market. new chapter is good, but expensive.

for whole herbs i use banyan botanicals...everything is organic and HPLC verified... i get herbal combinations, and most of my bulk medicinal and cooking herbs from them.

i think shepard is right, theres and old thread on this

Ahh Gaia and New Chapter sounds familiar. But Gaia's extracts sometimes doesnt contain adequate amounts of the so called active constituents(like ginkgo) when critical. I like their Saw Palmetto phytocaps though. As for New Chapter, it seems like they don't have a good variety of herbal extracts...

Actually I'm more concerned about herbal extracts because its hard to find potent extracts made from uncontaminated herbs. Organic/wildcrafted whole herbs are so much more easy to find.

So far I've yet to find a brand which is good enough...perhaps I'm a lil too skeptical...but don't blame me about the heavy metal issue...I'm into life extension like you all :)

Guys...those are good suggestions and in fact I use their whole herbs...but I'm talking about concentrated standardized herbal extracts(especially the dry/capsule form). Kinda hard to find...
I see that AOR has got some standardized ayuvedic herbs...are they tested potency, pesticides and heavy metals?

Yeah sorry I forgot about some of their phytocaps...are you referring to their phytocaps? I'm looking for stuff like ashwagandha and bacopa but they only have ashwagandha as part of their adrenal support formula...
Since AOR's stuff are tested I guess its apparent which one provides more value for money.
