Hi all

Currently I use a version of Resveratrol that only gives me 100mg capsules, of which I take 2, usually around the time of an empty stomach, but

just before eating something containing a bit of fat.

Having listened to Dr Sinclair, I'm sure this dosage is negligible, also the brand I use isn't the best, the bottle is dark glass but I'm sure light still

gets in etc.

So because of all this, when I ran out of them I didn't rush to get more, left it a week, because wanted to research the other brands.  However yesterday

my health shop called me to let me know my current brand was in and because I always want it, I felt obligated to go and get it.

Well, after about a week to ten days of not having it, I took it yesterday evening and today I feel so much better.  I didn't realise I was feeling below par

before, I only notice the difference today.  Plus I slept really deeply.  Maybe a coincidence, or maybe the small amount of substandard resveratrol I'm

taking does have some effect.  There's hope yet, lol.

Any thoughts?

So a couple of things.  Are you taking Resveratrol or Trans Resveratrol?  Trans Resveratrol is the active ingredient in Resveratrol.  https://www.scienced...ns-resveratrol When you say 100mg, I am assuming you are using trans, because trans harder to get.

Does Sinclair use trans or straight Resveratrol?  I have don't know, I have never seen where he specifies (maybe in his book).

Personally, I am a purest, and I require all of my supplements to be Organic (if extracted from plants/animals) if possible.  I also do not want additives such as stearate or maltodextrin (I am okay with silicon dioxide if I have to, silicon dioxide=sand).  With that said, this is the Trans Resveratrol (100mg)  use, and it is expensive compared to what else you can get https://www.amazon.c...IOQ/ref=sr_1_55

If you don't care about that stuff, you can get it from here 250mg (has Titanium Dioxide): https://store.revgen...per-resveratrol
Usually the stuff from Life Extension is nice https://www.lifeexte...zed-resveratrol

Thanks.  I have a lot of work to do, I'm just using 'resveratrol' from my local health store at the moment.

I'll check out the links.

I'm halfway through Dr Sinclair's book.  I'm serious about all this for anyone who might be wondering.

in nature there are hundreds of different versions of resveratrol that are always bound to some other elements present naturally. wine for example has so many dimers, trimers and various weird versions of resveratrol and none of them is simply resveratrol or trans-resveratrol as marketing terms. i would stay away from those suspicious weird resveratrol supplement versions personally. i had very bad reactions to them several times. including severe almost to the passing out pain in the joints, knees that lasted for days after i stopped. something about those supplements screams poison to me. but if you dont feel you experience any negatives or have enough money to waste, then its up to you what you do with the marketing resveratrol. im just sharing my personal view and experience. here i think thats one of those articles explaining its complexity; https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC6164842/ - As of today, 92 new resveratrol compounds, including 39 dimers, 23 trimers, 13 tetramers, 6 resveratrol monomers, 6 hexamers, 4 pentamers, and 1 octamer have been reported
