What are the supplements that help with social dominance?

 

I'd imagine things to target would be cortisol, testosterone (in men, at least), etc.

 

I've never had such a personality but in fleeting situations I've felt dominant...sometimes when hungover, sometimes reacting to certain supps...all transient.

 

I know this may sound like a ridiculous ask, but I've spent lots of money and time on supplements/noots and the one thing I'm certain of is that cognition/mood/personality can be tweaked chemically.

Yes i was a weak person before, and tested social dominance feeling and liked it +_+

The admin neurotransmitters for that is noradrenaline B2 receptors

Testosterone will upregulate them somewhat selective in CMS

Cortisol give hypertension but its works too

I tired turbitaline and it's selective. B2, B3 agonist,beta 1 antagonist , and she give the same effect..

Increase rewards for violence behaviors
You will start enjoying insulting people, and love to be the boss on them, want to listen to rap songs and stress you pitch when talking, urge to use physical performance (don't judge me this neuroscience here)

And tired noradrenaline reuptake, anafranil and she gives me almost the some effect

Anafranil is also serotonin reuptake inhibitor and its the must potent, which will increase you rewards for love, empathy, increase ability to enjoy cuteness, socializing

That's why I'm acting some what cute *-*

Tolerance for anafranil developed but reached 80% then stopped
She still give me effects even after 2 years of taking (6months stopping)

Doses more then 75mg/day doesn't add any real benefit, but it's so strong so the 20% (after developing tolerance) will be something you will able to feel it in you daily life

That sounds like aggressiveness which is not necessarily dominance and my in fact reveal a lack of dominance if you're trying to solve all your problems by fighting and it's also very uncomfortable to be in that tweaky, irritable state all the time. I would avoid trying to boost noradrenaline on its own because it's a stress hormone and will prob make things worse without combining it with something relaxing. Serotonin is probably anti dominance btdubs so I would try to keep that at the bottom of the healthy range and not boost it, especially not with antidepressants except maybe MAO-A inhibitors.

 

Noradrenaline does a have a place in increasing assertiveness but you need to be relaxed and cool-headed as well as assertive to be dominant. You want to demonstrate you have the ability to be dangerous without the need to actually cause any real danger except occasionally. How do you do this? Boost Testosterone and probably better still, DHT. These hormones have powerful downstream effects on endogenous noradrenaline and GABA agonists, without causing downregulation and tolerance like stimulants and GABAergics do.

 

DHT is probably the best place to start, it's one of the most powerful androgenic homones around which gives you that manly Henry Cavill-like presence and calm alpha personality I think you're looking for (like me). Haidut's 11 keto dht is prob the best way to get those effects cheaply and easily but you can get also get dht from russianstarpeptides or allsaint's clinic. If you take low doses you won't mess with your HPTA axis or  masculine hormones too much and you will get really powerful mental effects.

 

There's also the dopamine side of things which is actually probably a better way to get all the effects of noradrenaline on confidence without the stress and anxiety the latter comes with. Best way to boost it is p-f-deprenyl or rasagiline tho sublingual or intranasal selegiline is solid too. Bromantane and 9-me-bc are good options too. However, I would probably start with dht and then add in p-f-deprenyl.

1.  Zinc, is a possibility or you can join a martial arts and that may increase testosterone levels. It might not be the best option but you can take anabolic steroids for  a nice increase in anger, you need a prescription though.  Also note-worthy, doing lots of squats releases the greatest natural amount of testosterone or even cutting out pornography could increase your social dominance.

So I’m worried about taking DHT directly.

Right now my stack mostly centers around vitamin D and K. The former gives me a massive test boost, increasing libido, body comp, etc; the latter (k1) is a 5ar inhibitor and can suppress my mood at times but I can’t take D3 without it, I develop serious side effects quickly. So it’s a necessary evil.

On the 5ar/dht theme I tried glycine which apparently strongly upregulates 5ar. Effects were weird, probably because it also has various effects in the brain on NMDA and other neurotransmission.

Tried zinc, it’s very hit or miss. The NMDA suppression sucks, as does the fact that it is a DRI and therefore can have negative effects on motivation, etc.

Well, I think as you’ve probably experienced, various shops give you the chilled out dominance we crave, I just can’t get it to last in a sustainable fashion. Any other ideas before just trying DHT directly?

Not sustainable, as you say.

I associate my weak personality with a lot of negative life outcomes vis a vis relationships, job, etc. so it’s not a matter of fun (though that would be nice) it’s a matter of necessity.

It's totally fair to be worried about taking DHT directly, I still need to research it on more on second thought to see how safe it really is. The three issues I know with it are suppressing testosterone (which you should be able to avoid with hcg, triptorelin, and/or maybe red light therapy), it increasing visceral fat (which may be related to suppressing testosterone if i had to guess and could be countered by the methods mentioned before), and it reducing the production of other important neurosteroids. The last one is the main thing to be worried about, I don't think low doses would mess with anything too much since there are really good reports about low doses of 11 keto dht on ray peat forum. However it's still an underexplored area. By the way i don't believe you need to worry about prostate or hairloss issues with dht, i think those are misattributed to it and anyway shouldn't be a concern as long you stay within normal ranges of the hormone.

 

Seems like you have some solid ideas about this stuff which is refreshing to see. I'm guessing you're megadosing vit d? How much are you taking? you really should be taking the active form of vitamin k - k2 btdubs. i don't believe that works as a 5ar inhibitor and you can get a great k2 product called kuinone from haidut on ray peat forum. Btdubs i'm not shilling for him, a few of his products are of questionable safety and shouldn't be sold imo but he has a lot of very powerful unique products that are hard to find elsewhere at the same quality.

 

Have you tried taking glycine at night for sleep? That way any weird feelings shouldn't matter altho it can increase glutamate in certain people which could cause insomnia. i think most people find that it helps with sleep tho.

 

Sure, so the best ideas I have are first get bloodwork on your hormones. if your T is low then take triptorelin occasionally to get it up to normal. Then whether it's low or not take hcg to boost all your androgens nicely, 150-300IU 3x a week or so. Gives you all the benefits of TRT without any of the downsides, only issue with it is a bit of suppression for around 4 weeks when you stop taking it. However it's cheap from India so not hard to take regularly, one good source for it is mybestpill. Completely safe at those dosages and will not desensitize lh at them as some claim it will.

 

After that comes selegiline, or better yet p-f-deprenyl from newmind. Take it sublingually or intranasally to avoid the anxiety inducing amph metabolites. Works more on dopamine than androgens but will produce the results you want.

 

The next best idea is red light therapy, 660nm on your balls for a couple minutes every day at around 6" - 12" from them. I just started experimenting with this, still too early to say how well it works but there are tons of positive reports online including some with bloodwork proving significantly increased androgens.

 

Other ideas are pansterone (pregnenolone + dhea used topically for better effects), gonadin, kuinone, and the other products haidut sells on idealabs, most of those are pretty good.

 

After all of those there's the androgenic herbs like longjack, butea superba, cistanche, and many more. I was interested in trying all of those around a year ago but i've since decided that the other options I mentioned are far better and more powerful ways to get social dominance.

 

Also, research social defeat and chronic stress and how to biohack those. That sounds like they'll be very relevant to your situation and i'm curious to see if you find anything to work on them that I haven't mentioned.

 

Not going to answer many questions about all this btdubs, y'all gotta do your own research. If anyone has any suggestions about things you'd change in this protocol or tries it feel free to report advice/experiences tho!

Social dominance in animals is often achieved via males fighting for access to females. The winner of the fight becomes the alpha male of the pack. 

 

In human society, social dominance is usually achieved by more subtle and complex means than physical fighting. In politics it is achieved by a candidate convincing the electorate that they are better than their rival candidates, which then results in being voted into power, where they can exert social dominance. I saw a study some years back which found that once you win over your rivals, nature automatically adjusts your brain chemistry to alter your behavior and personality, such that you become socially dominant. This is because once you become leader of the pack, you have a job to do: the job of leadership, so nature adjusts the brain chemistry to ensure leaders become dominant in personality.

 

This explains why in politics you often find that the politician who seemed like a nice guy during his campaign becomes a dominant leader ruling with an iron fist once they win power.

 

My feeling is that testosterone is not the key element of the brain chemistry of social dominance, although it may help. Social dominance is an effortless and cool affair: those with social dominance do not even need to raise their voice to have their commands followed. There is a kind of body language and charisma that those with social dominance develop, and others around them pick up on this body language subliminally, and then follow their orders without question. I had a boss like this once: even outside the company when dealing with strangers, he could always get his will and his orders followed without raising his voice. He was never aggressive or angry; he was just highly assertive, yet cool, calm and collected.

 

By contrast, if you have very high testosterone, you may be prone to losing your cool, as you become angry or as you lose your temper over the situation. Testosterone is part of the brain chemistry of young men who get into fights with each other in bars; but my feeling is that it is not the essence of social dominance. Social dominance is not about getting into fights; you have already won all the fights and competitions in order to have been made leader. Social dominance rather is about being the leader, and having everyone around you automatically recognizing your leader status, without any need to fight to prove yourself.

 

 

I've taken supplements like Tribulus terrestris that are thought to raise testosterone, and DHEA which does, and I notice that I became much more macho and aggressive on these, but it did not increase any social dominance.

 

Of the probably thousands of drugs and supplements I've tried over the years, I did come across one substance which I noticed gave me assertive social dominance. But I did not think it was right to take it. I think it would be wrong to artificially increase social dominance. The whole point of nature's system of a competitive struggle to attain leadership is to ensure that only the physically or mentally strongest get to lead. If you start creating social dominance artificially, then you may end up with mentally weak and incompetent people leading us. So I am not going to reveal this substance. Sorry guys.

 

 

But if you just feel as if you are a bit weak in macho personality, and want to make yourself less of a pushover, a little bit of testosterone boosting might help. Not so much that you start becoming aggressive or bitchy, or start losing your temper. But enough to make you a bit stronger. Something like Tribulus terrestris or DHEA should work for this purpose. 

 

Alternatively, if you feel that you are emotionally weak (ie, all your emotions are weak — this is often found in nerdy types), then I have found that myrrh essential oil works like a charm to increase emotions. Myrrh contains certain sesquiterpenes which act on the hypothalamus, an important center of emotion. Taking 5 to 10 drops of myrrh essential oil internally (or alternatively rubbed onto your skin) is a good dose. Essential oils like myrrh should not be taken neat though. You need to mix those drops with around a tablespoon or so of cooking oil.

1. A drug isn't really going to make you socially dominant if it existed, I sure wouldn't  tell you about it. Testosterone is your best bet, the more of it I had I noticed increased sexual attention, greater dominance and was able to put men into submission mostly because of concerta. I don't agree with HIP, when I was on a 200 day streak of Pure free of Porn without relapse, I was charismatic, magnetic and I could command in entire rooms, to do what I wanted. This is on my Semen-retention thread, that has largely been ignored. I won't tell you because, you need to do the reading yourself. What I can say, that when it worked, it worked amazingly in social context, I could socialize and dominant and sustain a conversation,  people often got angry at me because they couldn't "unground my confidence", I even managed to manifest a millionaire to make a video about me but this was at my peak.  I was getting 11/10 girls talking to me and models flirting like crazy it was a total polar change. Don't underestimate the effect of porn on your social dominance, I found when I regularly binged it I felt like crap, girls were repulsed by me,  I was very anxious etc. At 250 days, I was  on top. Ofcourse, I lost it all.  Lost the attraction, the girls, my clients quit calling me for 3  weeks despite, doing nothing different. This Alpha stuff is pointless, just make  money. The moment I had money the moment every single thing changed, it didn't matter how ugly you are girls will come. Men respect you and your status. Focus on making money and you will have social dominance.

If people got angry at you, you clearly did not have social dominance. You might have just been full of yourself, because that tends to get people annoyed. 

 

Confidence in any case is not really the same as social dominance. You can have people who are very confident, but not socially dominant.

To free more of your T take 10mg boron a day.

I do feel capable of dominating physically and socially, it's not a problem, but if I'm feeling like others could be a threat all the time, all you do is antagonize people and want to get women to f#ck with all day long, and it's very tiring to be the lone wolf antagonist. Don't think it's a good idea. So it's important to get something that makes you feel chill, that the world is friendly, or all you do is stress as if the world is a battlefield and everyone is there to test your patience and screw with you, and it sucks to feel like that most of the time.

So, remember that feeling friendly towards others might be your biggest challenge once you get your T levels up.

Now, the way to get your T levels up and keep em up is ridiculously easy.

Squat, deadlift, do heavy/ combative/ competitive sports, be around manly men and feminine women, stand your ground physically and socially, know that current society operates on ridiculous touchy-feely premises and completely shit all over them, get into fights, get combat/emergency training, BE DARING AS F#CK - this is n.1 -, shoot with firearms, train so you can trust yourself in every emergency or situation, be around nature and powerful 'noncute' animals (get an aggressive, scary big dog and show who's the boss by training it and making it your servant-buddy), boron, lots of red and organ meats - lots of animal protein and fat, eat BIG and train BIG, 10kiu Vitamin D and GET UNDER THE SUN AT NOON FOR 20MIN+, get away from soy, take creatine, cycle with tribulus, Brazilian ginseng, ashwagandha, pine pollen, try massive quantities of pregnenolone before sleep, some DHEA (preferably from chinese yams and yacoms), drink your morning pee (how bad do you want dominance?), massage your balls everyday, kegels, cold showers, get rid of your chronic stressors as much as possible, hydrogen peroxide therapy, all helps tremendously and is extremely viable for your whole life.

Also do Jiu jitsu. Befriend and go out with a pack of men who you admire and/ or you share ideals with.
Leaving boyish things behind.
Accept your manly desires, thoughts and actions (just by doing so you'll get into a major war with most lefties, sissies, feminists, and the like, which is half the fun.) Dress like a man, like yourself. Have pride.


Do manly things that "will put hair on your chest" and avoid every girly thing and thought like the plague. Vegetarianism IS for pussies beneath you. Do not let anyone force you to be or do anything that is below your (desired) virility. You NEED meat.

Get used with confronting people who challenge you.

Do a quart of these things and you won't recognize yourself in the mirror one year from now. You'll love and respect much more being what you'll see.

I find it stupid that most people turn to drugs that will lead them to then go do the things they want (and they pay the price in dollars and hormonally later) instead of the reverse - adapt behaviorally first, with supplements, diet, tricks, and whatnot supporting you.

Women like big men who weigh like a man. A man weight is about 170-185 pounds solid muscle. If your 134 you will feel weak and ignored. It's totally fair to be worried about taking DHT directly, I still need to research it on more on second thought to see how safe it really is. The three issues I know with it are suppressing testosterone (which you should be able to avoid with hcg, triptorelin, and/or maybe red light therapy), it increasing visceral fat (which may be related to suppressing testosterone if i had to guess and could be countered by the methods mentioned before), and it reducing the production of other important neurosteroids. The last one is the main thing to be worried about, I don't think low doses would mess with anything too much since there are really good reports about low doses of 11 keto dht on ray peat forum. However it's still an underexplored area. By the way i don't believe you need to worry about prostate or hairloss issues with dht, i think those are misattributed to it and anyway shouldn't be a concern as long you stay within normal ranges of the hormone.

 

Seems like you have some solid ideas about this stuff which is refreshing to see. I'm guessing you're megadosing vit d? How much are you taking? you really should be taking the active form of vitamin k - k2 btdubs. i don't believe that works as a 5ar inhibitor and you can get a great k2 product called kuinone from haidut on ray peat forum. Btdubs i'm not shilling for him, a few of his products are of questionable safety and shouldn't be sold imo but he has a lot of very powerful unique products that are hard to find elsewhere at the same quality.

 

Have you tried taking glycine at night for sleep? That way any weird feelings shouldn't matter altho it can increase glutamate in certain people which could cause insomnia. i think most people find that it helps with sleep tho.

 

Sure, so the best ideas I have are first get bloodwork on your hormones. if your T is low then take triptorelin occasionally to get it up to normal. Then whether it's low or not take hcg to boost all your androgens nicely, 150-300IU 3x a week or so. Gives you all the benefits of TRT without any of the downsides, only issue with it is a bit of suppression for around 4 weeks when you stop taking it. However it's cheap from India so not hard to take regularly, one good source for it is mybestpill. Completely safe at those dosages and will not desensitize lh at them as some claim it will.

 

After that comes selegiline, or better yet p-f-deprenyl from newmind. Take it sublingually or intranasally to avoid the anxiety inducing amph metabolites. Works more on dopamine than androgens but will produce the results you want.

 

The next best idea is red light therapy, 660nm on your balls for a couple minutes every day at around 6" - 12" from them. I just started experimenting with this, still too early to say how well it works but there are tons of positive reports online including some with bloodwork proving significantly increased androgens.

 

Other ideas are pansterone (pregnenolone + dhea used topically for better effects), gonadin, kuinone, and the other products haidut sells on idealabs, most of those are pretty good.

 

After all of those there's the androgenic herbs like longjack, butea superba, cistanche, and many more. I was interested in trying all of those around a year ago but i've since decided that the other options I mentioned are far better and more powerful ways to get social dominance.

 

Also, research social defeat and chronic stress and how to biohack those. That sounds like they'll be very relevant to your situation and i'm curious to see if you find anything to work on them that I haven't mentioned.

 

Not going to answer many questions about all this btdubs, y'all gotta do your own research. If anyone has any suggestions about things you'd change in this protocol or tries it feel free to report advice/experiences tho!

Hey man, sorry for the slow response. Longecity is dead af so I don't really check it much haha. Yeah apparently mybestpill hasn't had HCG in a little while, I was gonna post a supplier that some advanced biohacking guys I trust like but if you already know and use reliablerxpharmacy then feel free to go with them.

 

I just checked and the guys said fertigyn and zyhcg are both good brands. Actually I'd say any generics should be fine, I've never heard of Indian generics causing any serious issues except they're weak sometimes. In this case, apparently you should avoid premixed hcg vials because they'll degarde and be a lot less potent. Neither fertigyn nor zyhcg are premixed and I saw that they're both in stock at reliablerxpharmacy so I'd try one of them!

 

How's your experience with hcg btdubs? I have serious health issues I need to address so I can't try it rn but I def want to in the future. How does it affect dominance/confidence in particular?
