I hesitated to upload this research report because it touches on the very divisive subject of comparing NAD precursors in how effectively they raise NAD.

However I think that the FiNAD aproach may develop into the golden standard of NAD assesment in the near future so  the research should be available to all interested. The novelty of it is that FiNAD is a genetically encoded approach to asses NAD in live cells. Several NAD precursors are tested in live cells.

Thank you. I found this interesting. I´ve seen metformin mentioned as an indirect NAD-booster and SIRT1 activator in other articles.

 

"...we also found that metformin, a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (and possibly lifespan extension in some systems), induced a dose-dependent NAD + increase (Figure 3G)."
